Prime Minister Andy Burnham has entered Downing Street and reshaped the entire energy leadership of the country overnight. Miatta Fahnbulleh has been appointed Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, with Ed Miliband promoted to Foreign Secretary - and the sector is already asking the questions that matter: What will her oil and gas play be? Will we finally see the hydrogen strategy refresh? Can GB Energy continue to take shape? On his first day in office, Burnham announced plans to scrap VAT on domestic electricity bills from 1 October - a signal that affordability now sits at the very top of the political agenda.
